Talk to Us

Wondering how you can get in touch with the folks behind Code of the Wild or the people at Army Ant Publishing?

It’s simple! Just send an email to info@codeofthewild.com and ask us anything you’d like. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

But before you do that, feel free to check and see if you question is answered below.

I’m with the media, and I’d like to interview you and/or run a story on you. What do I do?
Please contact us! We’re always happy to schedule interviews. We are also able to provide much higher quality graphics than the ones you’ll see here. All you have to do is ask!

You mentioned something in your press release about investment opportunities…
Please contact us! We’ll send you some materials and answer any questions you might have.

I’m a retailer and I’d like to carry your book. How can I order it?
Code of the Wild will be available for order in the near future. We’d suggest that you sign up for the newsletter to stay informed, but also, you’re always welcome to contact us if you have any specific questions!

I’m a member of the media, and I would like to review your book. How can I get a review copy?
Please email us with a brief note explaining who you work for, what you’ve done for them, how long your lead time is, whom we can contact to confirm your status as a reviewer, and where the materials should be sent. We’ll review your request and, if everything seems legit, we’ll be happy to consider adding you to our review copy list!

Does Army Ant Publishing have its own website?
It will, soon. We’re working on it now.

Does Army Ant Publishing accept submissions?
Currently, Army Ant Publishing is not accepting submissions of any kind. For legal purposes, we do not accept unsolicited pitches or manuscripts, and we are not currently hiring for any positions or accepting interns of any kind.

We will be looking for comic book illustrators and painters to work on future Code of the Wild titles down the road. If you would like to be added to our freelance file, please feel free to contact us and provide links to your portfolio. Please do not take this as an invitation to send us work that does not match what we’re doing — we appreciate that many people want to create comic books, but we are only going to consider those who can deliver the same level and quality of work that we’re already producing.

I have an idea for a story… can I tell it to you?
Sorry, but to keep ourselves out of legal entanglements, we can’t accept ideas for stories. We do have a thread on our Facebook page where you can propose which animals you’d like to see fight each other, but it’s just for fun. If you’ve got a great idea and you’re dying to tell someone, we’d suggest you first read an article Sean J. Jordan wrote on the topic. It gives some pretty sound advice.

You say that you’ve got ideas for other Code of the Wild books down the road. Care to share any of them here?
We’d hate to ruin the surprise. Suffice it to say things will get bigger, meaner and angrier at some point in the future. They’ll also get smaller, more shrill, and less obvious. We like to make sure all the bases are covered.

Can I use any of the images on this website for my own website?
As long as they are for personal, non-commercial use and they are attributed to codeofthewild.com and to the appropriate artist (such as Jason Maranto), we don’t have a problem with it. With that said, all of the images on this website are copywritten, and we reserve the right to ask anyone, for any reason, to remove from their website any content that we originally created. The same rules apply to derivative works.

In other words, we want our fans to be able to fairly use our content without fear of reprisal. But we’re going to be tough on anyone who abuses the privilege.

Do you have any plans to introduce Code of the Wild into schools down the road?
Absolutely! We’ll be announcing a contest for grade school children later this year, and we plan to visit schools to promote the book once it hits shelves. Keep an eye on this website for more details!

Will Army Ant Publishing be donating any of its profits to environmental or wildlife organizations?
It’s in the plans. What we’re trying to decide is which organizations we’d like to support. We’ll be sure to announce our decision in a press release once it’s made and the details are worked out.
